Custom sneaker art is something that divides sneaker collectors. Whether you love it or pass on it, it’s out in the mainstream now more than ever. And as last year’s Adicolor promotion showed it’s something that the big brands are noticing and increasingly using as a reference point for their own production. We caught up with Melbourne based Sekure D, recent winner of Sole Collector’s custom of the year comp. His intricate creations have been turning heads for a while, with some of his work even breaking into the high art gallery scene. We got his interesting take on where the custom scene is at what it means for the sneaker industry at large.
