The Footprint Chronicles is basically Patagonia’s public breakdown of the enviromental impact of their products. The fashion world of late has payed special attention to the impact of manufacturing on the environment, with companies even going as far as to start organic material programs, the movement has even seen the inclusion of a number of solely Organically derived companies and brands. Nike have also taken a lead in this matter, with their Considered and Recycling programs, but Patagonia have made themselves accountable for the impact they have. Very interesting concept that is a big turning point in the industry. It will be interesting to see if others follow.
