The rumours aren’t new but according to a number of websites today, Jay-Z who left his post as Def Jams president last month has confirmed he will join forces with Apple and Beyonce to create a super power as such within Hip Hop and the music industries new structure and platform. Madonna’s move last year saw her place a focus on performance, merchandise and touring as a source to her economy, Jay-Z seems to be taking a similar but slightly different approach leaning towards iTunes sales and downloads. There are many of you out there who have a much better grip on the music industry than I do, so feel free to leave a comment sharing your thoughts.
