Reknown artist Jahan has compiled a fascinating design for Vans, based on his art exhibition with Vans in 2007 entitled Dragon Chasers. The whole concept of the show was based on the Asian cultural concept of chasing dragons to the end of the world. The theme has been transplanted into the Sk8-Hi which features a suede and patent leather upper. The back and Vans swirl features a reptile skin symbolizing the conquest of a dragon. While the use of purple represents honor and royalty in China and a clear sole revealing a skull which is stepping out of ones fears and chasing an impossible dream. All in all a great piece which really defines Jahan’s work as an artist and the culture that surrounds and inspires him.
