Despite her leaving the music industry, M.I.A has kept herself busy. SLAMXHYPE’s sister site, AnyOne Girl reports on the Sri Lankan’s newest venture.  Inspired by her recent visit to a remote island in the Caribbean, it was here that M.I.A meet Okley Leslie, a 16 year old albino boy who she believes represents the elements of her designs for new label Okey Run. During their time together, M.I.A recorded a film about Okley’s life on the Island which will now double as a campaign promotion for her collection. Key pieces in the line feature an African print bomber jacket for the boys and a geometric jumpsuit (very M.I.A style) for the girls.
