Name: Karl-Oskar Olsen
Location: Copenhagen
What’s 2010 going to be about for you? We are working with some great people to do the collaboration thing the other way around. Im looking forward to see people creating stuff for us for once. But in general i am exited to see what the year brings along, i have a good feeling about this year.
What are the worst trends in menswear today? I was sad to see how the the bike culture got raped by culture vultures, but it seems the worst part is over so I guess there is still hope.
Whats the best thing to come out of 2009 menswear trends? The return of streetwear
What’s the must have item for any man in 2010? 1 pair of shoes that looks completely different than the rest to wear once a month to break out of who ever you try to be.
What’s your favourite thing about where you live? Its such a lame place you gotta love it,
What are you reading? Legacy of ashes, the history of CIA
What’s the next film you’ll watch? to get a minimal idea of the chaos that is ruling in Haiti right now i want to see the Ghost of Cité Soleil by Asger Leth, a film that follows the hardcore gangs and murder squads in Haitis ghettos.
Your favourite store in your city? I like to go into the Wood Wood store actually, but only when its closed and i can be all by myself.
Whats the best thing to come out of Blog Culture? I think that the worst things about blog culture is overshadowing the best. There are days when i get caught up looking at blogs where I feel like shooting my head of by all the totally pointless and empty stuff people posts. I think its a shame that the whole blog culture is so uncritical in its approach to what they write about, we need more depth and honesty in this world if its going to survive.
