“Enter The Void” is the newest film by controversial French writer/director Gaspar Noé ( Irreversible, I Stand Alone). The film’s synopsis is a story of a drug-dealing teen who is killed in Japan, after which he reappears as a ghost to watch over his sister. This is quite a different and more mellow subject for Noé but all his “trademark moments” are expected. The film premiered at the 62nd Cannes Festival and received “Golden Palm” nomination. Teaser trailer and an interview with Gaspar Noé after the jump.

Jury Prize was shared by Andrea Arnold’s “Fish Tank” and Park Chan-Wook’s film “Thirst” while the Best Director Prize went to Brillante Mendoza for “Kinatay”. Last but not least Best Screenplay went to Chinese director Lou Ye for “Spring Fever” The Camera d’Or award went to Australian director Warwick Thornton for “Samson and Delilah”.
