Reminiscent of previous UNDFTD AF1 collaborations, this time in conjunction with Lance Armstrong’s LIVESTRONG foundation, as part of Nike Sportswear’s continued support of the great cause. As far as I can tell from a scan out of a magazine, this is my favourite Air Force 1 in sometime, not sure whether its that aesthetically its well done, or its my great belief in this cause, either way, with the funds going to LIVESTRONG, its a must get. The Nike Sportswear Air Zoom Tiempo is fast becoming a hugely popular sneaker, having come of the Livestrong collaboration. Now is this quite impressive piece designed by journalist, graphic designer, photographer, and DJ Artoo. Simple and clean, this all white construction features a series of colors for the stitching around the entire sneaker which is influenced by fixed gear. This Nike Air Zoom Tiempo will be available in Berlin and Nike Sportswear at 21 Mercer this Fall.

Nike Sportswear LIVESTRONG Collection has made a welcome addition with the Air Zoom Tiempo TZ LAF Texas Austin that will release on October 24 in the US. Nike’s design team worked with Lance Armstrong to create a Zoom Tiempo inspired by Lance’s hometown, Austin Texas. The Air Zoom Tiempo TZ draws inspiration directly from the cyclists of Austin and one of the city’s most iconic cycling stores Mellow Johnny’s.

The shoe also draws inspiration from the art bikes created to help raise funds and awareness for the Lance Armstrong Foundation this summer. Finally, it takes the iconic LIVESTRONG yellow and integrates it throughout the design of the shoe.

Juxtaposing soft premium oiled leather with aggressive anti-abrasive materials and black contrast stitching. The design is inspired by the two sides of Lance: The world’s greatest road cyclist and a man deeply connected with the culture of his sport. “Texas” and “Austin” are boldly placed on the shoe heels. The stitches crossed on the words give an unfinished and rough touch. Contrasting yellow and black sockliners build on the LIVESTRONG and Mellow Johnny’s bike shop theme.

The crafted Starks laces with black aglets (tips) complement the refined, but aggressive, design.
The Air Zoom Tiempo Austin Texas will be available at select Nike Sportswear retailers (Mellow Johnny’s and 21 Mercer) on October 24th, 2009. Its re-introduction in the global market, together along with the other three shoes collaborated with cyclists from Paris, Berlin and San Francisco is scheduled in early November.

With the release of the Nike Sportswear 4 Air Zoom Tiempos earlier this year, along with the announcement of their “Stages” project, with quite a limited quantity.  Here we see a re-launch of the 4 Air Zoom Tiempos which has a broader distribution globally. The whole Air Zoom Tiempo pack includes eight different color ways inspired by the iconic yellow of LIVESTRONG.

Updated and re-crafted as part of the NSW collection, it is produced from a highly functional three layer laminate water resistant breathable nylon.  Rebuilt for the Nike Sportswear LIVESTRONG Collection, the jacket stays true to its classic M65 detailing including a sublimated internal grid print, rain gutter storm flap, waterproof front zip, a 2.5 layer packable hood, and Velcro adjustable cuffs. Inspired by the iconic yellow, this jacket is constructed using ultrasonic welding/taped back construction and very minimal stitching.

The Air Zoom Tiempo pack and M65 Jacket will be available at select Nike Sportswear retailers on October 2nd.

Trek have revealed the official information and images of the last of Lance Armstrong’s Art Bikes, by probably the biggest name in art today, Damien Hirst. Hirst’s bike will be ridden by Armstrong on the 25th, and while we have seen leaks of the bike before, here are the official images. Remember the Trek Art Bike series, along with Nike Sportswears Stages exhibition of works will be auctioned on the 2nd October in NYC for the full benefit of Armstrong’s LIVESTRONG charity.

The Designers of the 8 Nike Sportswear Cutter Collection set off tomorrow on a Fixed Gear journey from London to Paris, arriving in Paris just in time for the arrival of le tour de france. Some of my favourite shoes this year, and one of the coolest projects, the fact that the designers themselves are taking part in the ride shows the true meaning behind the enthusiast nature of the project.

Nike and LIVESTRONG’s Stages exhibition and event is now just a few days away. With the launch of this exhibition on the 17th in Paris, comes an impressive list of artists and important figures all finding their way to Paris. Upon arrival guests will receive an extremely limited edition, and not for sale, LIVESTRONG Nike Zvezdochka made especially for the event. As you’ll recall this groundbreaking shoe was part of a project designed by Nike and Marc Newson, who also plays a big part of this years Tour De France art festivities with his design of Lance Armstrong’s Trek Art Bike. This latest piece has included the expert craftsmanship of Brooks, who have crafted a custom bike seat that matches the work of Mr Cartoon for the Stages collection. Featuring the artists iconic “LA” logo this is certain to get as much attention as the sold out Air Force 1. The Nike Sportswear “Stages” collection has already compiled some really great things with the Lunar Racer and Trainer then more recently the Greatest Hits collection as well as apparel. Here is a quite surprising collection of footwear with “The Cutters” with the chosen silhouette the Nike Tiempo.

Traditionally designed for soccer the shoe has made a come back inspired by the bike with enhanced elements to work with today’s inner city bike rider. Developed in partnership with eight bike riders from around the globe, the Nike City Tiempo was constructed with a board last, a process referencing ACG’s history. The board last translates into a stiffer construction, making the pushdown of the pedal stroke easier on the rider. Throughout the construction of the shoe, the designers have increased the density of the rubber and the derometer. Inside the shoe, the sockliner has been updated to also be a bit stiffer, giving support to the foot. The city’s the designs are derived from include Los Angeles, New York, Tokyo and London.
