Renowned Japanese retailer vendor have made their name as the face of nonnative and their own in house label while also hosting labels like Junya Watanabe Comme des Garcons and a handful of footwear labels. To start the New Year they will provide a series of one off items created in a unique way. Using existing styles from the likes of Barbour, nonnative as well as authentic US Army fatigues as the canvas and applying certain detailing and distressing makes for an interesting proposition. Available from January 2, this is perhaps one of the most interesting concepts as many Japanese labels and retailers try to take advantage of the turn of the year.

Nonnative’s ‘Voyager’ boot is now available at Oki-ni online store. The Japanese lifestyle and street brand has been creating outerwear and heritage inspired gear for men for a while now which keeps getting better and better. This newly released lace up boot comes in aged brown suede with paneled upper and a thick heavy rubber sole. The boots fasten with 8 eyelets and a dark brown waxed lace, the tongue is contrasting in brown leather and there’s a strong pull tag at the back of the heel. Handmade in Japan from Italian cow leather these boots will age beautifully and will last you forever if you look after them well.

nonnative have created another exceptional collaboration, this time with one of men’s footwear originators, Trickers. The outcome is the highly coveted and very traditional “Flat Sole” shoe which features a very distinctive look that has been well adapted by nonnative. The simple aesthetic is defined by the materials used with the black and taupe colorways featuring a suede upper and the brown piece a high quality leather upper while both pieces are completed with a crepe flat outer sole.

Next month will see another hugely impressive release come from nonnative, with their latest project that includes sneaker label New Balance. Having already created some of the most memorable collaborations, this CM1500 promises to be another one. Highlighted by the slimmer aesthetic, and with two impressive colorways grey and my personal favourite navy you will not be disappointed come December 4.

With a strong focus on footwear lately, nonnative release yet another pair of boots called the Rancher Boa Peco boot which will sit  alongside their recent New Balance collaborations and the more traditional style of boots. Available in two colors; a tan suede and a brown suede, the boots are lace-less (seems to be very popular at the moment), a hard wearing rubber sole, a buckle and are both  finished off with a cream lining. One of the best brands coming out of Japan right now is Nonnative.  Their refined and subtle take on outdoor and workwear subtly redefines well known garments to make them really special and unique.  These new Voyager lace-up boots offer a slimed down take on the classic work boot and come in two shades of aged suede, with contrasting stitching.  They will be available from tomorrow (31st October).
