Visitors to The Olympia International Art and Antiques Fair, which opens next Friday at London’s Olympia, will be able to see the first of a series of paintings Adam Neate is preparing for his forthcoming solo exhibition A NEW UNDERSTANDING at Elms Lesters in October 2009.
‘The Concert Pianist’ has been selected by a panel of esteemed judges, including John Bly, Tim Knox, Sir Nicholas Goodison, Malcolm Hord, The Earl Howe, and Huon Mallalieu, as a finalist in the prestigious Lapada / Country Life Object of the Year competition and can be found on stand no. Gallery 107.
Adam Neate’s eagerly anticipated second solo show, following from his landmark exhibition, PAINTINGS, POTS and PRINTS in 2007 will be held between 9th October – 21st November 2009.
Best known for his use of cardboard and aerosol paint, this new series of paintings have taken on a 3D sculptural quality by further incorporating perspex, metal, collage and other sourced objects, demonstrating his innate understanding of composition, perspective and movement whilst still retaining his impeccable line.
