After being closed down for about 4 months, Niketown Las Vegas re-opened its doors a few days ago under the new banner of Nike Las Vegas. To help celebrate the occasion, Nike enlisted the aid of Retna, who helped create a couple of installations in the Nike Basketball section of the store. Retna came by to put the finishing touches on a canvas painting he made, which subsequently, was made into a poster by Nike and given away at the event. The artist also hand signed each print, which I fully intend on getting framed. If you are in Las Vegas for the next month’s trade shows, or just in town for whatever reason, be sure to stop by Nike Las Vegas. The store is a very unique Nike retail experience and it houses pretty much everything from footwear to apparel for basketball (Nike Basketball and Jordan Brand), running, training, football, soccer, tennis, golf, and even a selection from Nike Sportswear and a Nike ID station. As cliche as this may sound, there is truly something for everyone there.
