Apple patents Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology
In what could result in some of the biggest tech advances in sometime, Apple have filed for patents which will see it’s devices go weeks on end without charging, and no longer require bulky batteries. The two patents, “Fuel Cell System to Power a Portable Computing Device” and “Fuel Cell System Coupled to a Portable Computing Device” will essentially see your iPhone or iPad run similarly to a NASA satellite, this is the same technology discussed in creating cleaner cars.
A hydrogen fuel cell converts hydrogen and oxygen into water and electrical energy.
Apple even made this bold statement within its filings, “Our country’s continuing reliance on fossil fuels has forced our government to maintain complicated political and military relationships with unstable governments in the Middle East, and has also exposed our coastlines and our citizens to the associated hazards of offshore drilling”
