Renowned New York based artist Aurel Schmidt will open her latest exhibition in September at The Fireplace Project in Easthampton. Having featured in the 2010 Whitney Biennial Schmidt is widely known for her collages with the most mundane daily items to her errotic approach which can be interpreted however you like. Entitled “Summer Bummer”, and with this preview of the “Crap Butterflies” we can expect more of her usual style but perhaps in lighter mood when the exhibition opens on September 6.
