Nowness have released a look at the works that photographer Jim Mangan has created for the most recent issue of Huge Magazine. “We stayed in the town of Tulum, away from the upscale and secluded beachside resorts,” says Mangan. “It allowed us to meet people really immersing themselves in the culture and its surroundings.” Working together with a host of models and talented stylist Yohei Usami the outcome is defined by the private 60-acre property and monkey sanctuary used for the location. “I like anything I’m shooting that has a human element to have a feeling of being mystical, of being in another place, another time,” Mangan muses. “It’s about taking you to somewhere that’s a new start, a new beginning. Hopefully when you see the photos you realize that anything is possible.”
