Bowery and Houston Loses its Keith Haring Mural
2008 saw the erection of the iconic Day-Glo Mural to celebrate the passing of Keith Haring and his what would have been 50th Birthday, on the corner of NYC’s Bowery and Houston. The re-creation of the 1982 mural is reportedly about to undergo a make-over, or more accurately a replacement. The newly blank surface is rumoured to be replaced by a new mural by Os Gemeos, again, commissioned by Deitch. Stay tuned.
