Jon Rafman — the artist who brought us the much-lauded Google Street View series — presents his latest ongoing project, Brand New Paint Job. The new series sees Rafman apply paint, in the style of artists like Picasso, Monet, Haring, Matisse, Basquiat and more, onto the surfaces of familiar settings. Bars, bedrooms, classrooms and cinemas are all wrapped in famous paintings by Modernist masters, but the settings aren’t real, just 3D models taken from the Google 3D Warehouse (an online gallery that lets Google Sketchup users upload and exhibit their work.)

In any case, the headache-inducing interiors are definitely worth a second look in the gallery above.
