The British Design Council was set up in 1944 to promote and protect the idea of a British Design culture. Their history and heritage means that they have an amazing back catalogue of products, blueprints, components and photographs from an array of British Design classics, and for the first time they are making these available to view online in a newly launched British Design Council Archive. What better way to waste some time than checking out these retro products in the archive which features more than 4,000 images of iconic furniture, fabrics, electronics, architecture and more from throughout the last century.
