MOCA | Cai Guo-Qiang “Sky Ladder” Exhibition
After several weeks in production, Sky Ladder, Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang’s exhibition at the MoCA in Los Angeles opened last Saturday night in explosive fashion. Known for his gunpowder drawings and public outdoor explosions, Guo-Qiang utilized the wall of The Geffen Contemporary with a stunning display of pyrotechnics, whilst inside the museum, viewers were treated to an array of familiar works as well as video compilations and an exploration into roof bound sculptural crop circle installations. Sky Ladder runs through July 30 at the MoCA.
