When the Toyota 2000GT was made in 1967, it was a design that was referred to as Japan’s first ‘supercar’. Production was limited to around 350 pieces, 62 of which were made as left-hand-drive models while the five-speed transmission, 150 horsepower, dual overhead cam, and a top speed of 135mph were elements that helped define the car. Decades on this yellow edition of the 2000GT was sold for $1.2  million dollars by Ontario-based RM Auctions — making it the world’s most expensive car from an Asian manufacturer.
