Eric So with Ai Weiwei @ Art Stage Singapore
As part of the upcoming Art Stage Singapore, Hong Kong-based artist Eric So will be exhibiting his Aibudao sculptures, assisted by Ai Weiwei. While So’s sculptures are self-described as “positive”, they often depict politically charged appropriations of figures we may know from contemporary culture. So comments, “as artists, we are destined to be challenged by persistence and finding the true meaning of creativity.” With Weiwei’s involvement, expect controversy. Taking place between January 24-27, this show will be no doubt be one of the highlights of the Art Stage event.
