We continue to get excited about what’s happening at FAME Festival in Grottaglie. Here are a few pics to illustrate what Mark Jenkins and Vhils, two of our favorite street artists, have been doing. While the local police have already removed Mark’s piece, fair director Angelo Milano reassures us that they will find a way to sneak another one up.
Mark was also recently featured in TIME Magazine’s list of top 10 guerilla artists; while overall this list wasn’t a particularly enlightening or intelligent round up of the scene, the writer definitely wasn’t off when it came to Mark.
Vhils got to work as soon as he set foot in Grottaglie. Here he is outside the airport.
And here is one of his finished street pieces, created by scratching the plaster off the wall. Pretty cool, huh.
