Brooklyn-based Stella Im Hultberg is hard at work these days preparing for upcoming shows in Los Angeles. Here are some pictures of her work for the Kokeshi Show at the Japanese American National Museum which runs from July 11th through October 4th. The show will feature custom painted kokeshi (wooden Japanese folk dolls) by over 100 international artists.

The evening before, however, Stella will open “Momento Mori”, her latest solo at Thinkspace Gallery. Stella seems to be exploring some interesting directions so it will be exciting to see this new body of work.
