Gaia – New Work on the Street
Gaia recently shared with me some images of his latest street piece.

“I just finished (it) a couple days ago but I wanted to wait until the right time to take the photo for it. Recently, I’ve been thinking more and more about refining each piece so that it fits specifically for its spot. The particular location informs the composition of the work so that there is a certain reflection, or mirroring that occurs between the street and the piece.

“The shadows have been outlined so that they hopefully signify to the individual who passes at the specific moment when the shadow matches the form of the bear that the scene has been set. In this season it is around five o clock. The intention is to heighten the beauty of the coincidence and trust that there is an awareness that will one day realize this moment that has been established.”
