You may not think you know John Dolan, but he is East London’s most notorious artist. For the past three years Dolan has sat every day with his dog George on Shoreditch High Street, documenting the surrounding architecture and providing a unique insight into the changing face of contemporary Shoreditch.

Opening tomorrow (Thursday) at London’s Howard Griffen Gallery, George the Dog, John the Artist will present new works alongside several groundbreaking collaborations with some of the world’s best graffiti and street artists, including ROA, Stik, Thierry Noir, Steve ESPO Powers, Zomby, CEPT, Phlegm, Liqen, Pablo Delgado, C215, RUN, BRK and more. These artists have created unique pieces by working directly on top of Dolan’s drawn cityscapes, further accentuating the changing look of the area he documents. Be sure to check out the exhibition if you’re in town.

George the Dog, John the Artist runs from 19 -26 October, 2013.
