Helmut Lang: Sculptures Exhibition During Frieze New York

Helmut Lang has been able to forge a quite impressive catylist as an artist since leaving the fashion world in 2005 and this latest project makes for welcoming news. Lang will have an exhibition on view during the Frieze Art Fair in New York City this May consisting of sculptures. Curated by Mark Fletcher and Neville Wakefield and the successor to Lang’s previous sculptural displays, the new exhibition, “Helmut Lang: Sculptures,” and will consist of 20 new works in monochromatic color schemes utilizing materials like plaster, rubber, tar, foam to create his desired aesthetic. Opening on May 5 until June 15 at 24 Washington Square North this makes for a well worth visit.
