I grew up pretty much obsessed with the minimal nature of Helmut Lang’s clothing, and while the brand lives on post Lang, I feel that its replacement in this era is possibly Acne. While the two brands are certainly very different, I feel personally they offer the same wearable, simple personality, just seen through different generations.

Helmut Lang of course, now spends his time, and creative talents on his Art, his largest sculpture to date, the Eagle which used to live inside his Soho Store space, re-appropriated, by splitting into 3 parts and covering in Tar, has been purchased by Acne, and will now call Acne’s new London store home, which opens late July on Mayfair.
