Helmut Newton 'Fired' Exhibition

In 1964, Helmut Newton was hired to shoot the latest Courrèges collection exclusively for Queen magazine. At the time he was also working for French Vogue, so when they got the news that this was going on, all hell broke loose and he was fired. That was until the next editor in chief came along, Francine Crescent. Helmut considers his work during her time at French Vogue his best.
Launching November 30 at the Helmut Newton Foundation in Berlin, ‘Fired’ is an exhibiton of these photographs taken at this time. See some peek shots after the jump!
