The Grand Palais in Paris is set to hold a retrospective of famed photographer Helmut Newton’s work, featuring more than 200 photos – most of them original or vintage prints made under the photographer’s direct supervision. The museum describes his work as; “Provocative, sometimes shocking, Newton’s work tried to capture the beauty, eroticism, humor—and sometimes violence—that he sensed in the social interaction within the familiar worlds of fashion, luxury, money and power.” Press clippings and a film made by his widow, June Newton, will also feature in the exhibition, which will be on display in the Southeast gallery from March 24 until June 17.
