Herbert Baglione 'The Dark Wave' at FIFTY24SF

Herbert Baglione is a Brazilian artist who uses a mix of traditional illustrational techniques and geometric elements that has his work exuding the affect of quiet and mesmerizing, sometimes even dark, drawings of naturally soft-natured subject matter.
His latest solo show ‘The Dark Wave’ opened last night at San Francisco’s FIFTY24SF gallery with a huge response from the guests, unfortunately the artist himself was not there to witness this response- he had some passport complications.
Consisting of an overwhelming selection of original sketches, close to 300 of which were taken out of his personal sketch book, and nine medium to large sized paintings, the show appeared colorful and insightful to the artists journey.
