This week the Whitney Museum of Art on the Upper East Side of NY debuted its 75th edition of its annual defining exhibition known as the Biennial and aptly named 2010. The exhibit doesn’t have an underlying theme it is more “a marker in a matter-of-fact cross-section of American art today.” There is works by 55 artists spanning four floors on the museums “Breuer Building,” while the entire third floor is dedicated to video installations. The fifth floor is devoted to artists in Whitney’s permanent collections.
