Yesterday, October 7th 2009, marked the day of famed photographer Irving Penn’s death. With his first step in the door being when Harper’s Bazaar published his work, since then he had worked for magazines such as Vogue, exhibited in such galleries as Metropolitan Museum of Art and wrote books such as (2004) ‘A notebook at Random’. With an already hugely celebrated career there will be no dout we can expect to see tribute exhibitions and the like popping up at all major art centers.
