Following the opening of the José Parlá ‘Walls, Diaries & Paintings’ Exhibition here is a comprehensive look at the works. As part of Armory Week this showcase at Bryce Wolkowitz Gallery features Parlá’s signature calligraphic style. Utilizing the techniques and reference photos which he has accumulated over the years on his travels, Parlá has really impressed again while notable mentions include a piece that pay homage to Takashi Murakami and an installed working street phone with a pre-recorded voice to interact with.
