Polarising street artist Kidult has revealed the latest piece in his EXSTINCTOR saga – a metallic sculpture fashioned into the hybrid likeness of a fire extinguisher and rib cage. Kidult is of course known for his work spraying paint through an extinguisher onto shopfronts. The EXSTINCTOR series will see Kidult leave a number of artworks in undisclosed global locations, with the purpose seemingly to undermine the art hierarchy by giving the pieces away for free – a reflection of Kidult’s anti-consumerist message. With the first piece located in New York, several others are now to be found in Paris, Hong Kong, London, Tokyo, Los Angeles and Miami.
