For the NYC 2010 edition of Le Book they have decided to focus on the works of the late Robert Mapplethorpe. Le Book is the “go-to guide for the creative industry,” and has been in print for over 25 years. They have had numerous high profile focuses in the past such as Karl Lagerfeld, Yohji Yamamato, Vivienne Westwood, and Dries Van Noten just to name a few. The late Robert Mapplethorpe was an amazing photographer known for his black and white portraits, usually focused on flowers or men. He was most controversially known for the “homosexual eroticism” nature of his work. To me he is one of the masters of black and white photography. Definitely something to pick up if you love design or photography. Available now at Le Book for $250.
