STAGES New York Exhibition Coverage
The much blogged about “Stages” exhibition finally opened in the US yesterday at an event that was attended be a litany of the a-list art stars exhibiting. Hosted by Deitch Projects at a specially created pop-up gallery in New York’s Soho the show features the works by Ed Ruscha, Tom Sachs, Jules de Balincourt, Eric White, Christopher Wool, Rosson Crow, Shepard Fairey, Kaws, Cai Guo-Qiang, Yoshitomo Nara, Jose Parla, Richard Prince and Raymond Pettibon, which were initially exhibited in Paris earlier this year joined by new pieces from Os Gemeos, Futura and Dustin Yellin. Check out the images of the opening for the exhibition, which seeks to raise awareness and money for Lance Armstrong’s cancer charity the Livestrong Foundation.
STAGES is open to the public in New York from today through November 21, 2009. The show will then move to Miami during Art Basel Miami Beach in early December.
