Japan’s JAM HOME MADE & ready made, got together with artist Madsaki to release 2 limited edition items as part of a christmas collection. With the theme in mind, the items are perfect gifts, a wallet featuring the artists signature geometric shapes, and an oversized pin, disguised as a keyholder. I have to admit, I feel as though Madsaki’s work lends itself much better to items such as these, than some of his previous collaborations.
MADSAKI lives by the credo, “Anything goes! Life itself is about creating.” Born in Osaka, Japan in 1974, he moved to New York City when he was 6 and spent the next 25 years in the U.S. After spending three years as a bicycle messenger in New York, he now lives and works in Tokyo. His work spans the gamut from 3-D to paintings to just words. His art cannot be contained under any one category.
