Writing these articles always leave a sour taste in my mouth, that be said recognition of greatness is always essential. One of graffiti’s pivotal names Mike Martin, otherwise known as Iz The Wiz has passed away leaving a legacy. One of the pioneers of graffiti and the New York graffiti subway era, Martin also proved a positive voice making graffiti an acceptable art form and making it more about freedom of creativity rather than anything else. Alan Ket provides a great account for the legendary artist, who will be sorely missed far beyond his writing making for a well worth read.
