Renowned architect Frank Gehry has been crafting the architectual landscape of our world over the past five decades. Gehry’s work focus’s on “creating spaces that are comfortable to the people who use them, and that exist well within the larger context and culture of their location.” New york by Gehry stands at 870 feet tall making it the tallest residential building in the Western hemisphere. The building was Gehry’s first residential commission in New York, a classic Manhattan high-rise form was reinterpreted with waves of stainless steel that interact with the changing light as it reflects of the surface.
