Global lifestyle player adidas Originals, have worked together with ”New York Minute”, an exhibition at the MACRO Future Museum in Rome that will host a wide diversity of artwork of sixty artists from New York’s creative scene.
“New York Minute”, curated by Kathy Grayson, a young and well-known curator and Director of one of the most influential art galleries in New York, Deitch gallery, and organized by Depart Foundation in collaboration with MACRO – Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome – will take place from September 19 to November 1, 2009.
The expression “New York Minute” refers to the speed that New Yorkers react to stimuli and the sixty artists give a representation, a rapid and resourceful response to current cultural events and issues specific to their generation through various and originals artworks, as large-scale installations and site-specific murals to name a few.
New trends of art are showcased in three different groups: ‘street punk’ with artists like Dash Snow, Terence Koh, ‘wild figuration’ with Paper Rad, Takeshi Murata, and ‘new abstraction’ with artists like Dan Colen, Rosson Crow.

On September 18th from 5p.m. onwards adidas Originals and the 40 Gradi store, a landmark for the street wear scene in Rome, Via Virgilio 1/corner Via Boezio Roma, invite Trefoil fans for a get-together evening with an artists book signing session and A.R.E Weapons playing live. To celebrate this occasion a limited edition adidas Originals New York Minute bag will be available at the 40 Gradi store and MACRO Future Museum bookshop.
