When Lance Armstrong’s returned to the Tour de France this year he rode a series of special Trek Bikes designed by some of the world’s leading contemporary artists – Marc Newson, Yoshitomo Nara, Kenny Scharf, KAWS, Damien Hirst and Shepard Fairey. The bikes were first debuted at a special dinner at the Armory, NYC on Oct 2nd (the anniversary of Armstrong being diagnosed with cancer) and have remained on display until Oct 22, after which they will be auctioned off by Sotheby’s on Nov 1 to raise funds for the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
