Os Gemeo’s Works Protected
Having had the City of London and Banksy set a precedent in protecting public graffiti, and ironically shortly after brazilian artists, Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo, painted the outside walls of London’s Tate Museum, the covering of a mural created by the twin graffiti superstars in Sao Paulo has been stopped in its path. The city of Sao Paulo is now creating a registry of street art to be preserved, after complaints and media attention forced the about turn on the painting of Os Gemeo’s mural. You can read more about this cultural change, which I can imagine is only the beginning of a worldwide phenomenom, read the full article on this topic here.
