Having had the City of London and Banksy set a precedent in protecting public graffiti, and ironically shortly after brazilian artists, Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo, painted the outside walls of London’s Tate Museum, the covering of a mural created by the twin graffiti superstars in Sao Paulo has been stopped in its path. The city of Sao Paulo is now creating a registry of street art to be preserved, after complaints and media attention forced the about turn on the painting of Os Gemeo’s mural.
