Currently on view until October the 15th at Phillips de Pury are a series of photographs that will go up for sale on the 16th. Including Robert Mapplethorpe‘s photographs from the collection of Lisa Lyon. alongside other works by Helmut Newton, Stephen Klein and David Lachapelle as well as significantly earlier photographs from Alexander Rodchenko, Edward Steichen, and Eugene Ategetrobert. It is evident that the art market is relatively unaffect by the financial turmoil, with notable pieces like Helmut Newton’s classic ‘Charlotte Rampling at the Hotel Nord Pinus II’ piece going for an estimate of $120,000-180,000.
