New York-based Rafael de Cárdenas will be presenting his first furniture exhibition at Johnson Trading Gallery this Friday. The multi-talented creative was inspired by “the founding fathers of Art Deco and the Prairie School of American architecture” and the exhibition features works with clean lines, sharp and angular shapes and a variety of textures and intense palates.

The exhibition opens this Friday, May 13, 2011 from 6–9 pm and runs through until June 25th.

Dazed digital caught up with de Cárdenas to chat about the exhibition which you can read here.
