The Art Collectors have commentated accordingly of an apparent trend from this months Art Basel, that of the significant showing of the great Richard Prince and Barbara Kruger, two artists who have distinctive styles but more importantly have been historically influential beyond almost any. Prince’s work has been of particular interest amongst popular culture of late since his involvement with Marc Jacob’s Louis Vuitton, and his Guggenheim retrospective. Perhaps this is a sign of some resurrected interest on a popular level of Krugers work for 2009. Check out some of the amazing works on display after the jump.
