Rubber Sculptures by Ai Weiwei & Eric So
Ai Weiwei is as famous for his own influence on politics and culture as he is his art. He has teamed up with Hong Kong-based toy designer Eric So to create a series of giant rubber sculptures. Entitled “Aibodao” (“Unloveable” in Chinese), this is a piece of self-portraiture based on his famous nude portrait causing all that controversy with the Beijing government who deemed the art ”pornography”.
