Opening on October 29, Ryan McGinley will provide two new themes from London’s recent Frieze Art Fair. Entitled “Life Adjustment Center”, the first series is a collection of black-and-white stills taken in the artist’s NYC studio and are perhaps an extension of McGinley’s “Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere” exhibiton. This collection, however, accentuates the minimalism produced by the seductive nude models with the addition of wild animal companions. The second collection of works feature McGinley’s core elements as a photographer, “capturing his subjects in dreamlike compositions, rich in motion and color, during recent adventures on the road”. In addition a 44 page monograph has been published by Dashwood Books, a fitting piece to remember the exhibition by.
