Slam favourite, New York artist Scott Campbell celebrates the opening of his latest exhibition “Noblesse Oblige” this week. OHWOW Los Angeles hosts Campbells West Coast debut, featuring works “using copper, currency, graphite, ink, and neon, to transform tattoo subculture iconography into delicate and tempered work.”

Expanding on his use of currency as a medium, one piece in the show (image above)  uses over $5,000 worth of uncut currency sheets to create an over two-foot cube, of which Campbell has carved a three dimensional skull.

The opening reception will take place Saturday, March 19, 2011 at OHWOW Los Angeles.
