UK artist Sichi opened his debut solo show at EASTGALLERY on London’s Brick Lane on 20th August. So Long Utopia presents a vision of the lost utopian dream with large scale AK47 paintings and stark portraits of imagined characters, including one utilising a MacBook Air as a canvas. As part of the event, Sichi also launched his new creative brand INTERMISSION, a clothing and product line. A limited edition bamboo cotton two colour t-shirt (limited to a gallery exclusive release of just 20) and a limited edition resin sculpture (edition of 10) make up INTERMISSION’s first releases.
Sichi’s recent work includes various designs for A Child Of The Jago’s clothing and a collaboration with Vivienne Westwood for her Active Resistance Manifesto.
The exhibition continues until 2nd September at EASTGALLERY, 214 Brick Lane, London E1 6SA.
