NYC-based artist Leo Villareal has been working on his latest installation entitled ‘The Bay Lights’ for almost a year, and tomorrow on March 5th, it will be unveiled to the public. The work features over 25,000 white LED’s spaced a foot apart on 300 of the vertical cables on the Bay Bridge, crossing the San Francisco Bay Area. The piece is controlled by algorithms created by Villareal, taking inspiration from the surrounding waves, traffic, and wind. Being home to numerous tech companies and known as a hot bed for innovation, the Bay Area is the perfect home for the marriage of art and technology.

You can watch the event tomorrow starting at 8:30-930 PST online here.
