THREE DAYS IN PARIS by Philip Andelman
The photos in the show recount a very intimate three days in Paris spent with two iconic bands from two generations of music who came together in this historic city by coincidence – The Dead Weather and The Beastie Boys.
The photographs here have never been shown to the public and they tell a story of adventure, mischief, and the bygone days of the thrill and magic of summer concert touring. From nights of drinking and letter writing at the Ritz’s Hemingway Bar, to one of the Dead Weather’s very first live concerts and the unreleased candid images from the Beastie Boys? last promotional tour, the photos in this show reveal a remarkably private window into the worlds of these great performers.
Philip Andelman is a commercial and music video director signed to Partizan Productions. He has directed videos for Jay Z, John Mayer, Beyonce, Lenny Kravitz, Jordin Sparks, and The Jonas Brothers amongst others.
